A PDMS-based device for stabilizing in vivo imaging has been developed. The suction device utilizes small negative pressure to fix the moving tissue on the cover glass for the imaging with an inverted microscope (Fig.1). The suction device realized to monitor the circulation of intravenously transplanted cells in the liver in live mice. Since the fabrication and usage are quite simple, this device provides opportunities to perform the imaging for many researchers and will be a powerful tool for cell therapy development.

For successful development of cell-based therapy, both the disposition and differentiation of transplanted cells are directly related to therapeutic effects. In vivo imaging is an attractive tool to obtain real-time information on the disposition of target cells. In various types of imaging methods such as positron emission tomography(PET) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), fluorescence imagi...

Background: To date, several imaging techniques to track stem cells are used such as positron emission tomography (PET), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), Bioluminescence imaging (BLI), fluorescence imaging, CT scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Although, overall sensitivity of MRI compared to SPECT and Bioluminescence techniques are lower, but due to high spatial reso...
